The courses we run are suitable for men, women, girls and boys, minimum age 10. Canterbury Archers requires a parent, or guardian appointed by the parent, to accompany children below school leaving age.

If you are thinking of taking up archery, as a serious sport or as a hobby pastime, you are advised not to buy any equipment until you have completed the beginners course and are familiar with the type of equipment that the Canterbury Archers has at its training courses.

Canterbury Archers have a wide range of bows and equipment that can be used when you have completed your beginners course. During your beginners course you will be introduced to a range of bows. This will enable you to decide upon the best type that suits your needs.
